is usage of the whole frequency range (125 - 1150) supposed to be the default behaviour?
as i finally shifted to kernel-bfs and uninstalled kp (48+ramzswap) and got max overclocking on by default (stats/time_in_state made me wonder).
also you'll need kernel-power-settings 0.13 to tune it a bit.

The frequency range may be messed up as bfs8 is using kernel-power49 now, which changed the frequency layout a little. If you have problems you should probably check in the kp49 thread.

I don't have any problemsI just don't think that it's good to use default range 125MHz - 1.15GHz in kernel w/o kernel-power-settings installed.

Hello! I tried installing the BFS Kernel (from extras-devel) on N900. I uninstalled Power Kernel, rebooted and installed BFS Kernel via FAM and the phone won't boot (gets stuck on the NOKIA screen and after a while it shuts down). I had to reflash the nokia kernel to fix the phone. I tried installing 2 times now and same result. Any thoughts on this?

I haven't been able to exhaustively test, but it appears that the network slowdown (order of magnitude 10 or greater) affects wireless but not 3G. After installing the kernel, my 3G connection is now way faster than my wireless. Also it appears that the connection is moderately faster with the bleeding-edge wireless drivers.
Any progress on this issue?
This problem is caused by extra/cpufreq_earlyload.diff patch.
It caused me a lot of grief yesterday.
@iDont: you should disable or remove it from your builds. Many devices are unstable at 1150 Mhz, resulting in reboots and crashes at boot.
