Some thoughts on buying an 810 and a couple of questions. Well I've just placed an order for the N810. I haven't ordered a storage card for it yet as I've still to research the best available.
It took me a while to make this decison and I thought about the EEE as well but felt that EEE like devices are going to develop a lot in the next 12 months so the timing is wrong. Ultimately my main use is websurfing in bed with the light out and I thought the 810 would be ideal.
I had an N800 but it was faulty and got returned without me properly experiencing it and I struggled to choose between the two as:
1. I don't care about GPS
2. I have 2xSD cards
3. I will miss the radio
However the built in keyboard swung it for me as it will be easier to use on the go than an add on keyboard. Do you guys use both for the N810 or is a BT k/b not worth buying?
Ultimately I thought the Radio was less of an issue as even when travelling I will primarily be listening to radio while surfing and if there is not internet there's no need for radio!
I still wish Nokia hadn't dropped the radio.
I am buying this to replace my current nocturnal surfing device (the PSP) and would appreciate peoples experience with Nxxx versus PSP surfing. I hope it is faster.
Cheers,
Ossian
