Howdy all,

I recently received my new n810... love this thing. However, I can't seem to get the fmradio to work... it works fine on my n800. Both have the latest os2008 on them...

anyone else have this problem? Or maybe I have a bad fm chip in mine?

thanks,

Aaron

Yes, I think you have a very bad FM chip in yours... as in all N810: there's no FM chip in it
One day, maybe, Nokia will explain why they've removed this useful thing from their new tablet: for sure the thing which will miss me the most when I'll swap my N800 for a N810

Might help if you plug in a headphone.... its used as an antenna, which is necessary to pick up any stations.

They are used as an antenna. Look at the icons to select speaker or headphone, so you do not have to have it '' stuck in your ear''.

I took an old stereo plug, cut it off to about 10" and keep that in the case for use as an antenna, just make sure to select the speakers . Works great.
