Hi everyone.

I just got this N9 16GB and I tried to connect it with Nokia Suite but it said that it's not compatible with it.

What about Ovi suite? Which is the best software? What about Nokia Link?

I'm new so I need a lot of informations but this is for now.

Nokia Link is compatible with N9 but only runs on Windows 7 PC.

Hi, there is a simple workaround to get the Nokia Suite to sync fully with your N9. The benefits are that it has far more functionality that Nokia Link which was designed solely to dync media. Please see this thread for instructions: .

One final point; once you have followed the steps shown in the above thread, you can update to the latest Nokia Suite. It will still work with your N9. Also, after doing the above, if you have any problems with syncing between Nokia Suite and Outlook (calendar, contacts and notes) let me know. I'll subscribed to this thread.

Hello jpfsn,

I've tried the path suggested by you. Everything works fine with Nokia Ovi Suite however when I upgrade it to Nokia Suite 3.3.86 (currenlty newest version) it displays that N9 is not supported by it and recommends using Nokia Link

[UPDATE]
Just found out other threads saying that 3.2.100 was the last version supporting N9

Yeah, I'm sorry I was slow in replying. But don't dispair. Just delete Nokia Suite from your PC and install 3.2.100 following the same instructions as before. Remember to make sure your Nokia Suite settings are checked to that it cannot automatically update.

3.2.100 appears to be downloadable from here (I have not tested the website) http://nokia-ovi-suite.en.malavida.com/

I've been using version 3.2.100 for a while but it seems it has a problem with syncing meetings that have been moved to some other time (in N9 calendar such meeting is still in time as before moving) but have not spent much time on verifying this so not sure what may cause the problem.

Anyway I've downgraded to version 3.0.290 again and it was very useful for a while but after few days I got a notice that new version is available and upgrade is required (automatic update was disabled and I was not logged into Nokia account) - strange. I thought this was some kind of one time event and reinstalled it once again but after next few days the problem occured once again

Any suggestions?

I am unsure about this query; I have not moved meeting events before now so have not experienced this problem. However, I just did an experiment and changed the date for a calendar event from 21 Feb to 22 Feb on my N9 device and synced. It worked fine and updated my Outlook calendar. Maybe I have misunderstood what you mean by "moved to some other time"?

Nokia Suite will naturally prompt you to update the software if it recognises that you are not using the latest version. I am using 3.2.100 and have a constant indicator to remind me to update. I just ignore it. Simple. It does not prevent me from using Nokia Suite and syncing. Provided that you have disabled automatic updates you should be ok.

Sorry for late reply.

Maybe I will describe the problem with more details.

I'm working with people in many time zones (US east coast, ugh west coast, Europe). When somebody from other time zone than mine sends me a meeting invitation and I accept it in Outlook it looks fine. Then when I try to synchronise it with N9 through Nokia Suite 3.2.100 it changes time zone to mine (if meeting is 9 am AZ time it lands in 9 am Polish time zone) and whats more the duration is increased till 23:59 Sometimes it is happening during first synchronization, sometimes after some time, sometimes after meeting organizer moves the meeting from one day to another.

On Ovi Suite version with N9 it worked fine.

BTW Nokia Suite 3.2.100 is not trying to enforce update to newer version so till now beside this synchronization problem it works fine for me.
