So finally today the phone seemed to lost all of its network signal. On the top left you can see the bars dimmed with a red line going through it. I have no idea how to fix this at all and taking the sim out, replacing the sim, turning on/off is doing nothing at all.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

so i took my sim out, bent the sim so that the contact side is convex and then put it back in and now it reads it. i took it out several times before and it didn't work until i did that.

I tried doing that and nothing happened... I just left the phone by itself for 2 hours and it was fixed but the annoying thing is that the phone was useless for more then 2 hours... We need to find a fix for this soon hopefully its just a bug and it gets fixed in PR 1.2

it happened to me again. it's been like 8 hours now, it's been switching from not being able to read the sim and no connection.

i'm going to try to get another sim to see if that's the problem.

It happens to me on and off for brief periods, like 30 seconds or so. I am on PR1.2 and still see these issues.

A friend of mine left his iPhone4 for the N9, one week ago he had this bug during 3 hours (PR 1.1). He tried a lot of things (changing network, rebooting, removing sim card) but in the end, he just had to wait and everything was fine again.

But now he is afraid of this bug and wants to return to the dark side.

What is a soft reboot? I know a reboot is turning the phone on and off, a hard reset is clearing the user data, but what is a soft reboot?
