Greetings,
I cannot boot my n900. After I press the power button, it always boots with nokia logo and blue led, then turns off .. And everytime I try to charge it, it always vibrates and yellow led turns on for a longer time than usual charge and with the nokia logo without the back light on it..
Someone had exactly same problem I read in post
(Reference : http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=71276 )
I learnt from that post that flashing would solve the problem.
However, when I tried to flash I cannot go in flash mode. I have flashed before it worked perfectly fine back then. When I insert USB cable I see dim light BUT NO USB SIGN ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN.
Please help.

actually you don't need to re-flash your devices....i got the same problem as your before...i solved it without re-flashing my devices....
the problem is not your devices but its your battery....remove your battery & re-charged the battery it using external charger....put the battery back after a full charge...turn your device on & it will boot like normal....
i know this because i have three N900 (2 works fine, 1 damage on internal drive).... i got the same problem as above so i swap the battery & my devices boot like normal....

When flashing the eMMC content, the safe way is flash the eMMC/VANILLA image first, then remove battery for a moment, and then flash the FIASCO/Rootfs image. Do not boot up the device between the two i.e do NOT use the -R parameter at the end!
the recommended flash sequence then is rootfs, eMMC, rootfs *again*.
For users familiar with flashing and interested in a smooth fast process: you can flash combined first, and then *immediately* after that - without one 10th of a second of booting - directly continue with flashing the vanilla. The other way round doesn't work due to a bug in NOLO - so after flashing vanilla you need to remove battery to recover
Note that flashing eMMC will delete the /opt directory, so you *always* need to reflash your rootfs (the COMBINED image) after - or same time as - flashing eMMC (VANILLA img)
It's just that flasher is a bit touchy under any microsoft environment...
I never had problems under Linux
so, try to download Ubunutu 11.04 from here
burn it, boot from CD and run it as "live"-version (remember your set password, you'll need it for sudo)
Then under ubuntu get maemo_flasher-3.5_2.5.2.2_i386.deb from http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/
Install *.deb by double clicking it...
Finally open Terminal in Ubuntu and run:
DONE!
