That would of course not be an issue. What I haven't seen confirmed/rejected yet is if the OS2007 SD corruption problem have reappeared - which is a different issue. It could be that it hasn't, in which case there's only "normal" SD card failures. That would be ok with me (in fact I've never ever had any SD card problem ever, and I have lots of devices, cards and readers. I've seen two damaged cards of co-workers though.).

I have yet to see this one truly rejected or confirmed. Until clarified I won't upgrade..

(And uh, does the N800 FM receiver work or not in OS2008?)
Yes, re-occurances of the SD corruption would be the most serious bug. I should say that after my fried sd whit OS2007 first release, so far no problem at all.
But finger keyboard and context menu are no minor bugs too, and very annoying btw.

I've had more success with GPE Summary using the scroll buttons at the top and bottom of the scroll bar. I think it's less a bug than a design issue interfering with the OS2008. In other words, when you click and drag on the scroll bar - which worked in OS2007 when the applet was locked down - OS2008 interprets that as a click and drag the entire applet. Note that the RSS Reader can be shrunk down to only show one feed, and scrolls through them. There is a barely functional scroll bar to the right, but HUGE scroll buttons on the bottom....

The keyboard "bounce" issue (doubble lletterss) is #1 on my list of annoying bugs!

Also, the way os2008 handles text selection with respect to opening the keyboard and repositioning the text box on the screen. I prefer to see what I'm typing.

I might actually head back to os2007 until the next release. The only reason I upgraded was for BT headset support in skype...which "works" but isn't useable.

IMHO, the n8x0 is fun in a linux tech-geek sort of way (which is the only reason I still use it), but not if you intend to use it for real world applications. I'm not sure if Nokia needs an overhaul of their QA department or what, but I can't imagine a major corporation actually taking this os out of beta in its current state.

It just seems that the solution is always to reinvent tthe wheel instead of working toward mass-compatibility. And in that respect I do not expect the n8x0 to ever be ready for primetime...a shame since the hardware is great.

I'm sure there will be a bug fix soon.

Meanwhile, I'll be testing Diablo and making sure I let them know of problems...

I agree, we need an update Nokia!

We need A2DP BT Stereo audio support, soft power off would be frickin' awesome if that is even possible, a fix for the damn repositories, and somehow have the option of locking the home screen.

This is quite high on my list to. The keyboard just feels "off" a bit to me.
With this latest update on my N800, I almost dread when I have to type something with the on screen keyboard.

Uhh, nobody ever said this. If you have an A2DP headset, it will just work with the HS/HF BT Profiles. The only thing that sucks is that A2DP is not supported with OS2008, so you won't be able to get high-quality sound (e.g. watching movies, listening to music). You will be fine when using them with Skype, etc. however. Don't worry, it will work just fine.
