well i think that's a strange opinion, you should explain why you don't like it if you want me to improve it.

Maybe make it a choice, so users can turn Auto-Update off if they want to

I could make it a choice to disable the update check but I don't want anyone to be using an old version. Is there an option on the n9 to disable ovi store apps from checking for updates?

I'm pretty sure anything above 1350 is 'over the top'. I don't really want two versions of this app. I can't unlock that in the kernel module because people keep insisting on typing the commands manually because it's "more stable".

for me..more stable "over" via console..
I go with these parameters:
-
devel-su
/opt/opptimizer/bin/oppldr
echo 0 > /sys/power/sr_vdd1_autocomp
echo 0 > /sys/power/sr_vdd2_autocomp
echo 1350000000 1357500 > /proc/opptimizer
echo 75 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/ondemand/up_threshold
echo 150000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/ondemand/sampling_rate
-
automatic update mode not appreciate ..suppose that a new version out and for some reason an error unknown..automatically all have problems

Because automatically update seems 'damgerous' , just my opinion, yes i suggest to give it an option to choose manually or automatically update, will be so nice,

What's dangerous? Go look at the source code, don't ever tell me something is dangerous if you haven't even looked at how it works. It goes to this thread, reads the title, and compares it to itself. If it doesn't match, it asks if you want to go here to download it. It doesn't magically update itself. Why would you even think...

You've disabled smartreflex for the gpu. That might affect stability, but I won't guess why. The last two commands shouldn't make much difference. Those just change the responsiveness of the governor. Hopefully you know that.

Ohh, if thats how it does it then screw it, who cares, just leave it.

If it doesn't auto update then theres no reason to have an option to disable the update checking, its a USEFUL feature.

Sorry, I saw people say auto-update and assumed it updated without giving users a choice. My bad

Yeah it just gives you a yes/no to open this web page, it isn't even going to start downloading anything by itself. It only even tries to go online if you're connected to your home network (not roaming) or wifi so I didn't think you should even get a connection prompt. I might need to test that now...
