Why did I do it? Simple. N900 has the best keyboard for me to text, IM and Skype. iPhone is great for day to day quick use. N9...still not sure where it fits. Will see what the elusive pr1.3 brings....
try nokia E7's keyboard and piss your pants (i did, so my sim is still in it )
about n9...that's not phone for you then...simply it's not, as long as you can be satisfied with iPhone...give away n9's and two of n900 to some coders who will love to have them that's how maybe you see wonderful things on n9 :P (once you don't have it )

But likewise, if you buy an Android phone, there are cheap and limited ones and also, there are more expensive and better performing devices.

Personally, I just find Android boring. Which is a surprise when you think about it. But I don't want to spend all my time deciding where to move an icon or widget over 7 homescreens.
I agree

android got really boring for me as well. probably because i used it for years and it never changed THAT much. and i know what you mean, i spent like 30 minutes just playing about with the homescreen xD

also you have to think about the build quality of android phones.. i used to say HTC had amazing hardware, untili bought the sensation and amaze... samsung: i dont have to say anything. lg: worse than samsung, Sony, much better than the rest, but still Nokia is far far in the lead with build quality. so yes, you do get what you pay for

i think the droid rzzr was an exception, but it was also expensive, still more than other android phones.

Indeed the intention was not to enter war territory (I have an N9 and an iPhone in different pockets —*currently the SIM is in the N9 :-). I just feel that the iPhone gets a lot of really bad comments on this forum for no reason at all. There's also a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding about it. The iPhone is a very sweet device, and one that fully deserves the success it has been getting.

I still wish Nokia hadn't killed the N9 though. It's the only device out there, apart from the iPhone, which interested me as soon as it came out.

If your friend have the Iphone, just say: "send the photo to my N9 with your bluetooth" i know it cant . Iphone is so closed and stupid. And your N9 camera is awesome! I know it cant record 1080p video, but it is not bad!

i dont even get why you would want 1080p unless for some reason you watched stuff you recorded on a 50"+ tv, i dont see anybody doing that though. lol most people i know cant even stream it via youtube with their internet or their monitor/phone doesnt support it.. 720p is perfect imo i love the video quality on this phone

i guess its just bragging rights, just like the people with quad core phones with 1.7ghz blah blah xD

its actually better than my HTC Amaze i think which had 1080p.. picture quality is a different story though
