Hi,

first, thanks a lot for the effort, I'm really missing this feature after moving on from N900.

I just have a small problem, the process doesn't start automatically after reboot. When I start it manually via commandline, it works great. Is there any way how to make sure the init script is set up correctly? I'm not familiar with this kind of init scripts so I can't tell.

Thanks!

Never mind, problem with installation, sorry to bother you.

Another question comes in mind, any way how to change text for the alarm button? this seems just wrong

Thanks!

Breathing light fixed !!!

Well, first of all, big thanks to MohammadAG for this tool!

my case: PR1.3, inception 0.2, no config file in ~/.config/MohammadAG/led-event-notifier.conf

edit /etc/mce/mce.ini (have a backup first; added values in BOLD):

...
[LED]

# List of patterns for the LED functionality
#
# A list of all pattern names that should be configured
LEDPatterns=PatternPowerOn;PatternPowerOff;Pattern Communication;PatternCommunicationAndBatteryFull;P atternBatteryCharging;PatternBatteryChargingFlat;P atternBatteryFull;PatternDeviceSoftOff;PatternDeviceOn
CombinationRules=CombinationCommunicationAndBatter yFull
....
[LEDPatternNJoyRM696]
...
# FIXME: sloooooow breathing
PatternDeviceOn=254;0;0;4000417f41ff41bf0000
PatternDeviceSoftOff=253;0;0;4000413f41bf5f900000

PatternPowerOn=9;3;0;4000087f087f01ff01ffc000
PatternPowerOff=10;3;0;4000017f017fc000
PatternCommunication=30;1;0;4000027f027f02ff02ff02 7f027f02ff02ff41ff0000
PatternBatteryCharging=50;4;0;4000417f41ff41bf0000
PatternBatteryChargingFlat=50;4;0;407f5f005f005f00 5f00400041ff0000
PatternBatteryFull=40;4;0;407f0000
...
I have used the value from PatternBatteryCharging; can be modified accordingly. Is strange but also others LED patterns are working, in my case no need to edit or add led-event-notifier.conf file. Hope it helps!

PS: for breathing light is no need to have "LED Event Notifier" and "Inception" installed. For others LED notifications above programs are mandatory.

Does the event
Code:
email.arrived
get sent for every email? or just the first unread (like the mail app)? Could this code be adapted to generate an audible notification for every email, as this is the one feature I really miss in my N9

Yep, could be. "Notifications provide means to communicate system information and status updates to the user, without blocking the UI or requiring the user to switch to another view. Notifications can be done through visual, audio or haptic means."

http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/docs/...ification.html

On the other hand "A notification is usually represented to the user, for example, with graphical, aural or tactile feedback - or a combination of these. The MeeGo Touch notification API hides these details under the unified API. The system determines what kind of feedback is used to present the notifications to the user. This means that the user of the notification system cannot directly control how the notification is actually presented to the user."

That's why inception is needed.

But we need a dev here to do some MAGic...

nice addition. I can now have a slow breathing light when i get notifications rather than the really fast default pulsing one.

Somebody knows how to add to config file new rss feed event?

And similar question about new tweets.
I've tried this two but it didn't work for me

mentions.service.twitter
messages.service.twitter

I was getting annoyed by the notification light blinking when the screen was on and being used I found it unnecessary since we get notifications on top of the screen, so I like to share my finding to have the notification light turn on only when the screen is off, just edit the file mce.ini in /etc/mce/ changed whats in bold from 1 to 2

LED event notifier stop working after I fully charge my N9. Has anyone else experienced this? After I reboot it works again.
