Hmm, I'm probably not going to be able to help too much; I don't really use VNC (and I haven't jumped on the CSSU bandwagon yet either). But if it really isn't even starting the connection (and, it doesn't have enough information to really provide a good error message), then I would guess that something is interfering right at the start. Maybe the port VNC is trying to use is being firewalled? Or, perhaps, the two sides simply don't agree on their communications protocols? (I can't remember, are you using Presence VNC for both the server and client roles, or do you need a different VNC when sending your 900 screen to the PC?)

Well, Presence VNC can't be used in server mode. So, i am only left with x11vnc. ..and you may just be spot on about firewalls, i'll check and revert.

I am not sufficiently educated on ports, and protocols, so that's where i'll be needing help - if any. Thank you, again.

Please forgive me for being such a bother - it is working perfect..!

I was, umm.. massively stupid and left the IP as 192.169 instead of 168 - :epicfail: ..password and 'Enter' key works a-okay.

Thank you..!

Cool. Yeah, I actually mess up IP addresses all the time too. Usually, the error message that comes back is a little better at telling you that the IP address is bad; half the problem here is that VNC's error reporting is just a bit too vague.
