Reinstalled the latest version for the third time. This time sms registration worked fine (though slow). Here are the problems I'm facing:

1. Startup takes several tries and ages, but eventually it does start. Might require a couple of reboot as well. It gives the "Loading..." screen, which just dissappears after a while without the app opening.
2. Keeps giving the "Wazapp is not responding" error message
3. My messages are sent, but it shows them as unsent.
4. Receiving messages is completely arbitrary, but seems to happen more often soon after startup (the messages delivered are usually reeally old)
5. Trying to send attachments: it's possible choose any other type of file (in which case the program jumps to the appropriate folder for content) except for pictures (in which case it shows a blank screen with the legend "Choose a picture" and freezes the whole phone) - I haven't actually gotten quite as far as actually sending an attachment yet (one try of a video froze the whole phone)
6. Group chat doesn't show any messages received after switching to a new version which supports push names
7. Received group chat messages show up in notifications, but not in the app. Clicking on the notification opens a blank page and freezes the app. It's possible to swipe it shut, but it won't reopen again before rebooting.
8. Sending a group chat message - it ends up in the same limbo as all the new group chat messages
9. Occasionally freezes the whole phone so no other apps can be opened and the phone needs to be rebooted

Haven't tried Group Chat or Media Sending with this new one, but so far I'm impressed with it as opposed to the previous version, messages seem to instantly go and sending indicator works as it should. No issues, afraid to try fancy staff like Changing Status and Group Chat lol

By the way I completely removed the previous version and installed the new one.

NB: Just tested number 5, picture sending works like charm, something is wrong with yours.

The new build works fine. The status update is a lot faster now. Also I the imput name bug is fixed and it doesn't freeze or anything like that at all. But, I'd like the notification icon to be like the SMS one, which looks more pro, if you ask me(only the one on the stand-by screen) because the one in the right corner is just perfect. Also the default avatar of contacts should be fixed because right now it's showing as a noise effect ( if I'm correct, I'm just using the photoshop term).

UPDATE: Just found a bug. When trying to send a location in a chat, wazapp closes.

That's what I've been doing to no avail. So now I decided to start working my way up from the stable version I originally downloaded from wazapp.im, check that it at least works as much as it did this morning and then go on one update at a time. And guess what happens: even the old version has the same problem of opening the loading screen but never actually finishing the job of opening itself. Reboot didn't bring any help, but still I decided to proceed to the next version (28082012). After rebooting it seems that most of the problems got fixed. The group chat is still a bit iffy, since this version doesn't support push names yet (I mean it works, but I really don't remember my friends phone numbers by heart). I reckon I'll take a risk and install the latest on top of this and hope for the best.

Does anyone notice about this bug? When you write/recieve the symbol "<" the text After the symbol doesn't show up in conversation, but in notification and chat window does...

  • Wish there's an option to change the LPS icon to white. It should be white as default, like the rest of the LPS icons (SMS, email, twitter, updates etc), giving the option to switch to green. Again, integration with the OS & UI (will look less like a mod / hack)

  • Possibility of an option to show / hidde notifications in Options>Notifications>Notifications>__Wazapp__> like Twitter, XMS, QNeptunea & others have?

Again, just my two cents, and of course (needless to say) keep the good work, all of you guys are making a truly professional app. Congratulations. Expect some beers with my name in the following days
I disagree with all this too. Designed icon in status bar is a cool contribution of Knobtviker! I guess not all the options in settings will have an on/off button as it is not really needed for the purpose of the app. As wazapp is open source, let's also keep an open mind to innovations, just an opinion
