It's not that different from N900 (http://wiki.maemo.org/Remapping_keyboard).
You can change the hw kb layout using setxkbmap and/or editing /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/nokia_vndr/rm-680 file -- here's mine, modified for Polish locale (and for ADOM, too). Polish characters are accessible with SYM+letter. Symbols menu pops up when SHIFT+SYM is pressed.
As the HW slider is open, the input method will be automaticly switch to default English.
Is there any way to change the keyboard setting to make other latin-based input methods avaliable? Like the keyboard on Nokia N900. User can switch input method using HW keyboards.(ctrl+space)
Also I found a folk called foolegg has kindly made a plugin of Chinese Pinin for the N950 HW keyboard. Maybe this can be a reference applying other input methods?
https://github.com/foolegg/maliitChinesePlugin
Can someone tell me how to apply this? Where to put these files?
Please share your advice.
