There are good iOS and Android apps who have been granted permission...There is a n9 app called SGTransit in the Store which has not been updated in quite a few months...I sent an email to the dev yesterday requesting to share info here if he doesn't intend to carry on development but he replied that he already knows about this app and is looking into things...

He seems to want to continue development as he informed that he is awaiting permission from SMRT for their API...

Hopefully he joins in here to make this app more comprehensive...


I'm also putting this out here so that it answers any queries other Singaporeans may have...
Thanks thedead. Maybe you want to be the one in charge of dealing with Singapour stuff (like API access, contacting the dev, and talking to him about the project). I will really thank you if you can do this task, because I won't be able to do that ...

That's not an issue, I sure will contact the dev every week to try to hurry him up and monitor the status of his API access

BTW, any Maemo ninjas here ? How is the best way to build and package for Maemo ? Is there sone OBS ?

I have sent email to ask for public api for Tampere's public transportation guiding, really there is one and they'll answer soon.

Isn't HSL enough ? I have a kinda working HSL backend from now.

HSL supports only Helsinki city and some parts of two other cities (Vantaa and Espoo) in neighborhood, which is same with three other apps for trasportation guide currently for N9:
- Meegopas
- My Route
- Nokia's public transportation
None of them supports Tampere city

Not yet ...
From now I'm stopping adding backends and will add new features instead, like routing. However, I do not guarantee anything for a forseeable future, since I'm already late at school projects ...
