Hi All, I have tried Hard Reset of Nokia N900. I followed the instructions given at http://theunlockr.com/2010/04/02/how...-of-box-state/. The first step went very well and phone did show options for language and time etc. But when I was try to connect again to do emmc, something went wrong. While connecting It seemed that phone is powered on, but it actually didn't. I did run emmc anyway. Now it says "Suitable USB devices not found, waiting" (after displaying a long list every line of which starts with word "Image" ... see pic attached). When I power on it displays red lines saying "Missing Image". Please help, I am desperate. Many Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I was able to run firmware again (by just removing and inserting battery and keep trying) it did go well again. But emmc didn't. same ending. Another picture attached.

okay, you can find better info there: http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware

You have to shut down your phone

open keyboard, press u and connect it to you computer via USB.let drivers install.

Now fire up your terminal and type the first command:

flasher-3.5.exe -F youremmcfilename.bin -f

wait until finish, Do not boot your phone!!!

Disconnect phone from USB and remove battery fro a minute.
Put the battery back, reconnect the phone while holding U button

in your terminal, type the second command:

flasher-3.5.exe -F yourrootfsfilename.bin -f -R

This should do the trick.

Thanks for quick reply but it didn't help I am afraid. Second command ends with:
"Raw data transfer EP found at EP2" and
"using flashing protocol Mk II".
Why emmc.bin command only complete 20%. Is this the problem?

Remove Nokia Suite from StartUp list, restart computer and then flash emmc. (don't start Nokia Suite, it makes 20% problem)

Thank you very much for all your time and help. Both comments together did the job.

[Just for the record: It showed successful completion but when restarted with sim it had same screen "Image Missing". I tried the whole process again, and its working perfect now ]
