It should be a daemon so are you sure it doesn't take like 2-3mins to start-up instead of requiring a manual start-up? The way Harmattan works is system services start up first then 3rd party apps' daemons start in alphabetical order so it may take 2-3mins for this process after every boot-up...
It will not work but that is free version. I just found and download the Pro version that can auto start after reboot. However, I personally think if Profilematic has the reboot condition, it will assist some of us in some cases.Tks!

Put the application to 'Default rule' and it will be started automatically after reboot. The application will start in around 2-3 minutes after boot.

Argh... modifying mce.ini gets the hairs raised on my back.

I read a little the other thread that talked about this 3500K modification. Judging by that it seems to me the best and most fitting solution would be:

- A separate application that adds "Night color profile" or whatever name to give it. This would be useful application by itself, and would "isolate" the possible dangerous changes.
- To ProfileMatic an action where you can set the used color profile (though I don't know how to do that nor how to query what color profiles are available)

The sunrise/sunset condition would be fitting as ProfileMatic's condition also, but I don't currently have the time to work on ProfileMatic that much.

Let me make the app first, then we'll go further.
BTW ,calculations of sunrise/sunset times are easy. I have it done in Javascript. Might be rather easy to do in C++.
All you need is latitude and longitude.

Finished the finnish translation and was about to test it but the latest beta isn't in its usual place?

Sounds good.

I thought it'd be something along those lines. But to make it user friendly you do also need to have fetching the location using GPS, and probably also options to always fetch it by GPS (daily I'd imagine), and an option to do one time fetch in UI and use that for location so that GPS activation can be avoided. Also if it's to be a condition, I think it'd useful that users can specify for example "15 minutes after sunrise" or "an hour after sundown" just to give an example.

So while I think the individual pieces are probably not anything very complex, I do think it will take a bit time to do all the bits and pieces correctly, and the testing involved. So it's not something I can right now use time for, but maybe later in year.

That's great news, and sorry about the missing beta. While updating it last time, I must've missed the notification that the .deb is too large for embedding to forum post.

I have now updated the post to point to an external link. Thanks for the notice.

I really like the precision of @ajalkane methodology.
Trust me, I know the woes of lack of free time.
When you are ready, just ping me and I'll make all my sources available.

Ok, got it working. A few things after a quick test with the finnish translation:

- the .qm file should be tr_fi.qm, not ts_fi.qm as in your post.
- in the battery condition, the 'not used'-string is not translated.
- the header in calendar condition summary field is a little short.
- toggle NFC has to be pressed twice for the description to change.
- cell location condition 'Help'-string is not translated.
- the string (%1 timeout) in cell id and WLAN time-out would IMO be better as (%1s timeout) (seconds).
- the header in the popup for Set Bluetooth mode is not translated.
- Default snooze in alarm snooze setting is not translated.

Maybe the biggest thing:

- DefaultRule is not translated and I think it should be because it is referred to in other translations.

Thanks for the detailed error listing. I'll try to check them tomorrow and make an update ASAP.
