The Chinese can get a quad core device with 1GB RAM to market for around $150, I'd definitely like to see FxOS on something like that. The Alcatel and ZTE devices released last week are just too low spec.

Everything because they are not ready yet. But have you ever had a first version up to pair on the first release. I have never seen that. It takes iterations. When I got the phones I can tell you more in detail, and I'm sure people will complain everywhere so you will see

It's not only for low end, that's Mozilla's initial target but not the limit of their ambitions. Rumour has it Sony are considering a FxOS powered beast.
