Yeah, yeah, you're the most objective person on the planet to have a opinion on this, not.

Interesting viewing for those who may not have seen already:

I disagree. his job is to convince operators to add jolla phone as qlternative to the consumers and make sure operators marketung it. AHis job is not to convince 50 people at TMO how great sailfish is or leak specs.etc...

I doubt old CEO would be right person convince operati
ors...

That's not what I was saying his main focus should be, he just doesn't strike me as a great communicator/people-person.
Maybe he will grow in the role, maybe he's better in board-rooms & in business circles than in the media, I hope so...

I don't think jolla shall trust the operators to make the wave for several reasons. Main concern, Operators don't do anything for free and their loyalties follows the money. Money is pretty small from jolla. So even if they don't like being ruled by Apple, they will unfortunately still be front and center and jolla on some small link somewhere...

It's up to jolla to make it and if they call for help we will help them but again, they have to lead the community and foot soldiers. We are more powerful than all operators together!

Simple as that.
So... Elop. You praise him somehow yet maintain this attitude?

I think it's not about when you purchased but rather how fast confirm your purchase. Jolla must have another step before shipping devices so I don't think it matters when you booked one in the first place. Also jolla said a batch for a company like jolla is about 50000 phones. There is no way they have sold that so unless they managed to negotiate a smaller batch or actively lower the volume to make look more attractive all buyers will get the phone immediately.

specifically, im asking if anyone knows about 0 vs 40 vs 100 euro preorders, and whether preference will be shown.

As I said no.

100 euro will have to pay 100 euro less(since they already paid 100) if they want the phone and they will get a special other side.
