Don't forget they'r plan is mainly sailfishos NOT selling jolla devices.

Instead it looks more and more they want to make sure other companys using sailfishos on they'r phone. That probadly why they don't mind people porting sailfishos to Nexus and so on. That actually helps them marketing sailfishos...

Question is how they make sure licensing works as bussiness model...

It seems it was the video Dave mentioned here:
They didn't give him a chance, they gang interviewed him. As soon as he answered one question the next person was ready with another question before he was done answering and all they wanted to hear was some controversy about Nokia getting bought by Microhard.
They didn't even ask to show a few examples of how the OS is different.
--
"Ok hold the phone up and smile now." yes, yes, it's different, blah blah, whatever.
Now;
my director is reminding me in my earpiece to "find some controversy about Nokia and Microsoft and make him talk about that. Don't give him a chance to change the subject, keep hitting him with Nokia/Microhard questions.
--

This is a failure interview by failure interviewers. If you want to learn about Elopocalypse go ask someone else not ruin this precious time (<1 minute) a new startup has on national TV asking about other companies.

Furthermore Mark is very experienced in going back and forth from introverted (thinking) and/or looking at his phone to extroverted and talking to other coders and public - balancing the two back and forth because he is a coder that is why he is more skilled in this area.
The new CEO doesn't want to be on TV with his face buried into the phone and OS and not aware of his interviewers so he probably was telling himself to remain extroverted. Just give him some time to practice dealing with interviewers.

He said he didn't mean everyone. So I believe it's not related to launch.

Legendary drinking and even more legendary poor coding. Two traits that plague Jolla.

No matter how much you hate Mr. Baldy, he is making more money to know what to do with it.
