I tried rebooting a few times and did have the calls working.
Tried rebooting one more time and the noise reappeared.

Recently I've been experienced loud noises when making calls with my N900. In the beginning it was like background noise...

This is quite contrary.
After how much time did it happen again?
I could swear only after heavy usage (browsing, calling)!?

And yes (erm NO): flashing is the solution to all SW related problems.
Maybe I'll go for a full reflash. What do you guys suggest to backup contacts and messages?
