I wonder if it is still possible there is a bookkeeping delay between the shipping notice and status after actual shipping. I remember some people receiving packages before the status changed to Shipped. So I'm not sure we can completely trust the order status at least.

Then again, people have reported receiving tracking numbers separately, but I wonder if those can be delayed too or even not sent in some cases, even though the package has been sent. Maybe some packages are on their way and the recipients don't know it yet? That would certainly not be unprecedented in the history of web shops.

Anyway, I think we can trust Paid status meaning "no, we are not putting stamps on your package yet". In Picking is the requisite sign of some activity.

Few things in my mind:

- Just question: Does FedEx work on Saturdays all around the world or in some countries/areas? Their web pages are terrible for finding any real information about their services (common problem with logistics companies).

- it is Christmas parties time in Finland. Maybe they had a company Christmas party on Friday night/Saturday. Jolla's sailors have probably worked long days for 7 days a week for 4 weeks (except Finnish Independent day). I think it is reasonable to expect them to have a little time off and refresh time after that.

- It is possible that they might have decided to reorganize the packing/shipment processes so that they can get the rest of shipments out faster. Maybe they have come to a conclusion that they cannot do this in promised 3-4 weeks if they don't do changes in the processes. For example outsourcing part of the job to get more hands on the work.

But my point originally was that we don't know. And when 4 weeks from the final payment or from 2nd December (discussion of its own from where to start counting) goes by then we know if Jolla failed to keep that promise. (And they might have originally aimed to deliver all shipments before Christmas...)

I really hope that all preorderers get their Jollas before Christmas. Let's not yet surrender to despair.

Well, cybette has tweeted a photo of jolla shipments in the van. I hope that's open enough for you lot. Although she didn't say whose phones were in the van and whose weren't. Omg she's practically Apple.

Yes, it seems like it is the logical fallacy week. Who claimed Jolla is Apple?

The photo of a shipping van is a very nice gesture. We can all appreciate that, I'm sure. Unfortunately it does not add any useful information to those wishing more openness about the shipping process that affects them, namely how large is the delay that affects the orders.

Jolla have stated multiple times they care about the community. Acknowledging the unease of the community is nice, but if they really cared, they would try to alleviate it. An easy way to share in the angst of those invested in the wait, would be to provide their best information of the progress to alleviate the uneasiness that is going on. It would be the simplest thing in the world for Jolla to do, a tweet every other day about the percentage of packages done and to go or something like that, when it became clear a delay would be in the cards.

Clearly Jolla has, so far, very deliberately decided to not give out any specific information about the shipping process. E.g. since last week Cybette still addressess posts here, but very carefully only joke posts and those not involving the Jolla order progress, and the van tweet was void of any information. Also, Cybette admitted they decided to keep people in the dark about the initial delay. So clearly, a deliberate silence by Jolla from the get go and continuing until today. Maybe this week will be different? We can surely hope, this is a suggestion for improvement of things.

An Apple it does not make them, but it also means they are not open about the shipping progress. Some wish they would be. You disagree and that's fine.

Jolla already failed to respect the priority order in webshop invitations and more seriously in the shipments, so let's not pretend they haven't broken a really big promise already. Even if we ignore the DNA store pick-ups and extra sales, Jolla for whatever reason hasn't respected the priority order in their own shipping process.

It would be far easier to understand if those waiting would be those who ordered late.

One rather suspects that one of the technical delivery problems suffered by Jolla was an inability to follow the original preorder priority.

They do in almost all of Europe, as I previously pointed out.
