haha, and don't forget to hide those stereo speakers from the mono one on the iphone. 2 on 1 isn't a fair fight and we all know it.

Hey sherfinix,

I really wonder what internet tablet you have??

It is really unbelievable for me to still support the iphone when one has an internet tablet. If you dont have one... i suggest you take the plunge and experience it. As some one said time is really valuable when you have an internet tablet.

Got an answer back from Ari on the "phone" confusion issue. He's escalated to the proper channels. Hopefully someone will take this seriously.

With the orange markings on the keyboard, wouldn't it make sense to switch to the Glasser theme and background? I prefer it to Echo anyway.

I've owned a 770 and an N800, both on their day of release. The N800 went out the door since the opera browser just couldn't compare to mobile safari.

Now that Nokia is creating a native IM client with AIM support and microb is coming along, I'm interested in getting an N810. I still can't believe the email client is so terrible but I'll be using my iPhone.

As for your question... I support the iPhone, even having owned an IT because there is just no polish on the tablet software. The media playback and management on the iPhone/iPod is infinitely superior, as well as still having a superb browsing experience if I leave the 2nd device behind.

I can't comfortably carry an N800 or N810 in my pocket ALL the time. I like to have a personal device at work so I can load up some divx films and keep in touch with AIM/MSN.

If i was forced to choose between the two, I'd choose the iPhone every time. But since I don't have to, I'll use them both

I've been thinking some more. A buddy of mine has an iPhone, and I have an N800. To put it elliptically, we have very different ideas of what's cool and what's useful. If you carry an iPhone, you probably aren't the kind of person that will get a lot of use out of the ITs.

Anyone who has one of those $50 Apple video-out cables for the iPhone is probably the kind of person who will get easily frustrated by the tablets.

Thats a fair way of looking at it. If the iPod came in a form factor similar to the N810 I'd likely skip over it. I won't lie, I expect a $400 device to provide polished and intuitive software.

That said, I tend to dig a bit deep with my devices and I have recently restored my iPhone to keep it nice and clean. The IT will let me mess around with unstable stuff, ScummVM/DOSbox, and keep my IM connected all the time.

I always like to have a little "sandbox" device that I wreck and the tablets are great for that. It will probably end up getting replaced when some decent intel MIDs come out but I'll always have the iPhone in my pocket. Before now, it was the 770, N800, the Asus EEE. Ebay makes the world go 'round.
