If you mean the suspended tree houses?
up Parksville way ...which is about 30 min to 45 min from us ...
yea... pretty neat.
We have a lot of tree house concepts out here on the island (most a lot bigger and more comfy too)
cliff toppers, cliff hangers, cliff huggers, yurts, cottages on the beach, cabins way up in the hills, cabins so high they may as well be in the clouds...earth ships ...you name it...the island (Van Isle that is...has a lot) and the subsequent islands have a lot of beautiful places to see...house wise and other.
The trick is...we don't have all the cool alternative houses lined up for easy viewing...most are quietly tucked out of the way and some are a bugger to find...deliberately hidden ..so to speak.
The other trick is....being on the island(s) ...means if you want to go to other lesser islands...a day at the very very very least... per island... is required...if you want the time to enjoy it....that is. Simply because travel to and fro pivots on the timing of the ferries on that day and making them in time. Gets nice and laid back out here further you go ... island time...is one thing that is important to accept.
The other islands are great for a localized mini vacation...isn't cheap...but isn't stupid expensive either...

Well Vancouver would be as treacherous and expensive as Mars and it would take you longer to navigate through Vancouver than to get to Mars....
Vancouver Island is more affordable..fewer people ...more beautiful ...utterly luverly ...
When people think of the west coast of Canada they tend to immediately think of Vancouver (city) ...which is cool and all....but frankly the interior of British Columbia is vast and gorgeous with tons more to see and do ...then there is the coast...and allll the islands...the place is heaven on Earth....Most of Canada is dealing with ugly cold and lots of snow at the mo. Out here we can grow most tropical plants ...palms etc...hell the spring flowers are due to break the ground in a week or two ...while everyone else in the country stays buried until march at best or april at worst.
Normally out here on Van. Isle we see a snowfall or 2 and they leave just as quick and that is winter here. This year we aren't expected to get any at our altitude . Right now it is about 12 celsius in the shade and more in the sun ...yet ....a 2 hour drive North up Island here to Mt Washington and go skiing for the day...or out to the Provincial Parks on the west side of the Island 4 hours (tops) from here and go swimming or surfing ...Not too bad...or sit in mah shorts with the BBQ on and a rum and egg nog on the deck at home ...
