Because [an answer that you yourself have heard at least dozen times, but simply choose to ignore it, because trolling with such a controversial topic might spark up some pointless discussion and - as you say - keep threads alive].

I think you will find the answer on your 3G tablet.

Back to the topic:
Is it just me, or is the new swipe animation quite annoying? Before this upgrade, I could quickly glance at the time, but now I must drag from the side to see some moving line, before the screen finally fades away and I can see time and other apps.
[RANT, sorry about it ]Thanks a lot to all the people that demanded N9-like animation, because eye-candy is apparently more important than functionality.[/RANT]

I do like new swipe animation. I dont know how you do it. But i dont see any difference on speed of glancing clock.

Its lot better now, becouse it gives very definitive visual feedback on when you still keep app in foreground and when it gets to background.

You need to "swipe" only 10% to see the clock well, and another 10% to full 20% of screen width to get the line between "change to background" and when you can see the clock fully.

Same here. Didn't mention it before as I somehow assumed this is what people wanted...
Just like you, I prefered the old 'effect' as it was more practical.

The fading of the line is not even smooth, so there goes the eye candy.
Looks bad, less functionality - yay!

It may be useful to state what exactly are you after. From the information provided, it is plausible that all that's happened is a problem with dependencies. Not sure what else you need in terms of explanation.

Green - all clear. It's a go. Blue sky...
Yellow - issues and working on it. Estimated to be fixed within a week.
Red - Dead end. Unknown issues and don't know when Rollin again.

I'm wondering: since we were able to upgrade to 1.1.24 and .28 using ssu re despite it not being officially r3ecommended and Jolla did show us 2.0 on the Jolla Phone at MWC 2015, is there some way to upgrade to whatever 2.0 build they're on right now? Note that I'm *not* asking for instructions per se as I think Jolla might not be too happy about that (but if they don't mind, then please give instructions ), just curious if it would be possible at all right now

According to a post by a sailor (don't remember where I read it) the "inofficial" updates are possible because of Jolla testing the update procedure using the actual live infrastructure, to have a test exactly like the end user would see it. This means the updates are available on their servers a short period before they get rolled out officially.
Since I don't think that SFOS 2.0 is at a stage where they test live rollout already, I don't think there is any way for "normal" folks to get it at the moment.
