They would have got nowhere near $2m without the mention of a tablet, and they knew it!

The question I ask myself...what is Jolla waiting for? Either you continue building tablets or you refund or you tell your backers that they are out of lluck and Jolla walking away with all the money.

Now they are just stalling...

The answer, of course, has already been given to you, both by Antti and by folks on this board: circumstances have changed, and they need to determine the best way forward.

And which choice is the right one? To determine whether continuing to build tablets is feasible, you need to determine if the components are still available (and if the prices have changed), whether the factory is still available and offers the same terms and conditions, and whether the customers even want the product any more.

To determine if you can refund, you need to see how much cash you're going to have on hand and when (their investors may not have provided the money just yet), whether you can use that money for refunds (the investors probably have lots of strings attached to their money), and whether you're going to need that money for other immediate needs (Jolla does still have creditors after its throat, after all).

To determine if you just give up on the project, you need to determine just how angry the customers will be (are you going to be immediately facing lawsuits), and whether there's enough upside to choosing this route at all (will the new BRICS customers provide enough support to overcome the ill will generated from dropping the tablets, if Jolla immediately focusses upon them?).

So, choose one of these. If you can choose the right one without doing any research at all, I think you'd have to be psychic.

I will do that. Just think jolla as always are one step behind reality. They should have evaluated different scenarios with all the time they had and have different playbooks. Act...not react

I never relax...except when visiting TMO...since I work basically 24 hours even during Christmas vacation and expect jolla to do the same

How to do egg nog?

HoHoHo.

Endsormeans Grandma's Egg Nog Recipe.

Ingredients.

4 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar, plus 1 tablespoon
1 pint whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
3 ounces bourbon
1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
4 egg whites*

*make sure your eggs are fresh.
make sure salmonella is not a possible issue locally.
drink egg nog while fresh. within a day or 2 .
don't store for extended periods longer.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color. Gradually add the 1/3 cup sugar and continue to beat until it is completely dissolved. Add the milk, cream, bourbon and nutmeg and stir to combine.

Place the egg whites in the bowl of a stand mixer and beat to soft peaks. With the mixer still running gradually add the 1 tablespoon of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.

Whisk the egg whites into the mixture. Chill and serve. (Preferably with proportions of one glass and one ounce of spiced rum, a pinch of cinnamon added to the mix)
This recipe will induce a heart attack or stroke from the sheer richness of it.
Whole milk and heavy cream and all that bourbon don't help

My recipe is much simple. Makes one bottle:

5 eggs
1 can of condensed milk *)
250 ml of rum, vodka, gin, brandy, or whatever you fancy
milk, white wine or, in my case, dry mead to top up the bottle

*) That's "condensed", not "evaporated"; the latter is much thinner and less sweet. Real condensed milk is thick as honey and about that sweet. It usually comes in about 400 ml cans.

Separate egg yolks and whites. Use only the yolks. Use the whites to make some meringue or just dump them down the drain. Pour the vodka (rum, gin...), the yolks and condensed milk into the bottle. In that order (you can leave a little bit of vodka for rinsing the can of condensed milk and pour that in last). The bottle should be about 2/3-3/4 full. Give it a very good shake until nicely dissolved and smooth. Top up the bottle with milk (wine, mead...).

Consume within 2-3 days max.

Recipe for egg nog:

Take as many eggs as you have, throw them in the bin and head to the fridge for a beer.
