Someone stop me before I bring up Kierkegarrd's thoughts on patience and taking chances . . .

I would have so loved to have had my tablet already to amuse and befuddle my in-laws this past Thanksgiving or again at Christmas. I'm certainly thankful that I hadn't made a big deal about getting a Linux-based device while they were stuck with the lousy Android stuff . . .

Tell that to someone in a coma or crippled for life after an accident.

Another one I never understood was why a half full cup is supposed to indicate optimism. To me, the cup could be full, but it's only half full. That's a bad thing. Therefore, seeing the cup only half full is a pessimistic view. Similarly, a cup is not empty, it's only half empty. Rejoice!
