Sure, but nspawn also handles virtual networking, whitelisting shared directories, and a bunch of other useful looking things without having to write any code at all. Since Android doesn't use systemd, there is no 'lock-in' from using nspawn, and it looks useful for exploratory hacking to get something working quickly.
There is a thread I created for my method but it's dead, no one used it, this one is still in use so I post it here.

I'm not fussed, I just don't want this thread to turn into a systemd argument just because sailfish uses it.

Anyway, if you look at those links I posted earlier, if you can get surfaceflinger running in an isolated way using nspawn, or whatever, then we have all the info we need to get the graphics from surfaceflinger into a wayland window.

Looks like under the covers that wayland is using android style pixel buffers anyway, so its a case of taking that screenrecorder code, and wrapping it in a wayland client. I can play around with the wayland side on the jolla phone, and make sure I can get a window and draw something into it.

Can this be released on official Jolla too!?
If so, we might be able to tweak a lot more stuff for Android apps

Like entering the Android settings and change some stuff, like turning off notifications for apps. This is not available through out Sailfish OS.
