Just so ppl don't get their hopes up too much, three tab limit is still on (real tabs that auto-update in bg if say following a match or similar), though performance is better, even on 500 posts/200 image threads. Fourth tab will unload the first, hope this can be tweaked as only at 50% mem usage with 5 apps and heavy browser tabs open

Since its not using BTRFS, an additional option is configuring a swap file on the EMMC and using a tiered configuration with the ZRAM swap space.

Never OOM Ever Again.

Webcat performance pretty much the same as on J1

What? No BTRFS? Is it just coz of this model or Jolla is giving up on it in general?

btrfs is a big crap. when you have less space than 20% - the phone get unresponsible and slow. Jolla guys understood it one day and got rid of it.
jolla tablet has also no btrfs.
so it is not a big loss....

In fact they seemingly even removed btrfs from the kernel.

Me too. I have stopped using my Jolla as my regular phone, and have little use for it, so if anybody comes up with a plausible plan to make this, I'll consider guinea pigging...
