the creationists tend to be fundamentalists ..who look at text as "literal truth" rather than figurative (as I believe it was intended).... they need some actual perspective...

and the evolutionists are desiring to spread cold soulless logic with little hope....which would cripple us all.... and they need a little heart...

I do not know about Canada, but in the UK both Religion and Science are part of the national curriculum *).
I meant a referendum about what should they teach in Science

Want to avoid this **** ever again? Educate yourself or prepared to get screwed.

Educating yourself may do you as much good as a warm blanket does to a dead guy if those around you are uneducated. Educating everyone is not only a Sisyphus' job, it is impossible. You cannot educate those who do not want to know.

Educate others, fine. But what makes you, me or anyone right? Too many people think they know the right answer. Very few do.

Tell an American you can't have a gun at home because the number of guns available trigger more shootings....You might get the answer: I must be able to protect myself

Both cases are impossible choice to know. But to me it's about if you think about others or only think about yourself.

We're going to disagree here.

I anticipate that the people that surround me should be able to operate at the same level, if not higher, than I. If I find that not to be true, I share the pertinent information with them in a way that shows how consequences of not knowing would directly affect them and what were the apparent lies told by the politicians and the media.

With that said, I know how comfortable the lies can be. It's not an uphill battle when you figure out how to communicate those things to folks that will communicate to others. And to resign yourself before even starting, you've already conceded defeat.

There's just too much to lose without attempting to change the course of what will happen around you by sharing the information and your opinion. You do it here and most of us live nowhere near you. Why not do it in your immediate surroundings that would affect you?

Do not forget; I'm in the USA. Right now we're faced with equally damning choices for our president at this moment. I won't go down without a fight. And I'll make sure to arm those around me with facts. Sadly, we've now become a society that whenever they do vote, they ask questions afterwards.
