Can they back out of backing out now?

On Friday Angela Merkel was practically offering to help them pack and call them a cab . . .

OTOH, once they've got their brand of Conservative Party guy/gal in the PM's office, maybe they'll figure they've got till 2020 to figure something out.

I wonder if they have enough gumption to trigger Article 50. That's the real question.

Why beg? I wouldn't. Want to go... go.

It's gonna be fun. None of the next steps were thought out at all.

You know what, that was exactly what I was going to reply to Dave in the first place but then backed out, so to speak, deciding to wait a day or two. And what would you know, one of the leading "out" campaigners (who, incidentally, used to be pro-EU before he sniffed out a chance of becoming a PM and turned coat) is already making noises that "there is no rush".

That is a good question indeed. Scotland may well veto it, if anyone can actually figure out whether they can or not.

It's gonna be fun. None of the next steps were thought out at all.
The fun thing is that neither side had any plan for this outcome. No one really believed it would happen.

Ya, it's an old wisdom; "you should be careful what you wish for, as you may actually get it"

That's always been a tough one for popularist politicians as it is really easy to find a rabble-rousing topic and try to ride it for publicity without thinking thru the consequences what actually might happen, "we'll sort it out later then, huh?"

The sad thing about it is that this way they piss into my cereals too, I hate to see the small positive economic change that just turned being blown away in Europe

Haha...Boris and Donald. Its a deadly combo

The markets are dropping and with these two running the show the markets would go totally bananas...in a bad way.

Maybe a lot less fun for anyone in Northern Ireland, perhaps.

100% sarcasm on the word "fun". It's sad that the proletariat has yet to figure out that we outnumber those so-called folks in power and the decisions line their pockets before they remember their oath to the people they're supposed to represent.

Simply stated, time to revolt. UK just showed that the masses are media-led all too easy and lies work better than truths. Watch the USA one-up this debacle.

I sure hope we don't show the world how truly "revolting" we are in November.

BTW, anyone know if Election Insurance was available in the UK before this fiasco? I missed my chance to get it in the US the one day it was available this Spring.
