Having read this:
http://www.electronista.com/articles...go.iphone.gps/
There would go my last reason to hold onto the n800. I love Maemomapper. And it's the only reason I did not jump to the iPhone or Touch but if the linked report is true and it works with ny Holux Gpslim and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, it'll be bye bye N800.

I bought my n800 as a toy and then os2008 came out and ....
Two sdhc memory card slots(32gb coming in a month).
Full KDE(thanks Penguinbait)
Operating system on a removable sdhc card(thanks fanoush), I partitioned mine with 4gb for memory and 12gb for storage and my other sdhc card has 15.5gb for all my mobile content.
Removeable batteries(I bought 10 for $8 each last week).
External hub that I have attached additional sdhc cards, DVD player, printer, (getting mouse next, etc...)
Remote access both ways to PC, MAC and Linux.
I paid $200 for my n800 brand new.
16gb sdhc cards I bought for $60 last week.
Play Doom, Quake, etc...
Wifi antennas that pickup the most faint wifi signals of any computer anywhere in the world I have travelled.
I have over 200 apps that I have gotten for free.
Music and movies in any format I like with xmm, media player, etc...
Remote control my entire entertainment system.
Altered every part of this little beast to my liking not Mr. Jobs liking.
The best part is this community of nXXX users that really help make the device and experience a real pleasure.
Stick with the n800. They will fix the mapper problems.
I can't wait to see os2009 and hopefully n900 will have a quad band phone, two sdhc memory slots and a beefier processor and graphics chips. lol, Dan
