im trying to decide which to buy, so can you please help me decide?

Nokia N810:
+ Big Screen
+ Flash 9
+ very good web browsing
+ Reading under sunlight is good
+ Customizable
+ Linux (free programs)

- Expensive
- No MSN
- Stylus Required
- Big and fat

iPod Touch (easier to use, less features):
+ cheaper
+ awesome web browsing (via safari)
+ SDK soming out soon
+ nicer design
+ runs stipped down version of Mac OS X (awesome, easy to use)
+ a simply awesome keyboard
+ finger interaction is great
+ elegant glass and metal does not show age
+ multitouch

- Less features*
- no iChat or other IM clients*
- fingerprints
- taller
- no flash or java in browser*
- cannot use stylus (doesnt really matter)
- i use windows xp
- no camera

HTC Touch (harder to use, more features):
+ smaller
+ SDK already out, able to purchase a whole lot of apps
+ is a phone
+ runs Windows Live Messenger and other Windows Live Apps
+ has a lot more features**
+ good keyboard with third party app (resco keyboard pro)**
+ no fingerprints
+ i use windows
+ has a camera

- runs windows mobile (prone to crashes and very hard to use in my experience)
- bad default keyboard
- needs the use of a stylus to do most things
- very bad pocket IE
- thick and bulky (compated to the ipod touch)
- features are harder to use
- painted plastic shows age
- no multitouch (doesnt really matter)
- no flash or java in browser
- lots of buttons (compared to ipod touch, but it might be easier to use)

btw, can you play runescape on the n810?

no flaming please.

thanks,
vapour

You should ask yourself:
- How will you (really) use it?
- Which features are essential to you?

Well there is nothing the n800 cannot do compared to the touch except for the multi touch and the accelerometer. But the only thing is you have to have sufficient time and interest to make it do everything it can do. If you have the time and willingness then look no further. But if you just want to use it the with minimum research then buy the touch.
And windows mobile...... it is not even in the picture!

1) probably for iming, i wont use the phone much
and web browsing, flash games (unreal flash 2007 FTW!!!)
2) web browsing plugins (i really hope there will be java) and msn is really important. i\i also want something pocketable

EDIT: @ shchin007: i have enough time.. a have a LOT of time man! (too much time, perhaps)

will java EVER be on the n810 or any other devices in the list?

Yeah MSN is okay but it is IM only no voice or video.

With regards to web browsing it is the best and complete browser in a mobile device. I dont consider the browser on the touch the complete browser.
flash games.... not all of them work but the smaller ones which are less cpu intensive work okay. bUt dont have too many hopes on them.
I dont think there will be jave in the foreseeable future
And web browsing plugins work.
