I solved the problem for me:

I installed extra-devel repository. Now it runs.

I'm not sure, if I should disable the extra-devel repo now (after modrana installation) or not... It shows some app-updates now... I've ignored first...

Thanks!

Option B would be the simplest.
Enable Extras-Devel, install modrana, then disbale devel.
Do so at your own risk usual extras-devel caveats apply.

Both are installed but QML is not longer supported IIRC

Yes, that is correct - the old QML UI can no longer work anywhere else than on N900 and even here horrible hacks are needed to make it run, while the user experience is dubious vs the "classic" GTK2 based UI.

So while the old QML GUI is still there in the latest package, it will soon be removed upstream & it has effectively not been maintained for years anyway.

BTW, it should be generally possible to run latest upstream modRana on N900 from git master branch (typing from memory & you need to have git installed):

Code:
git clone https://github.com/M4rtinK/modrana
cd modrana
./modrana.py
It should generally work like this. If it doesn't, let me know so I can fix it.

Hi MartinK,
the command to run latest upstream (update?) does not run. I've installed git on N900.

Any idea?

Thanks!
