i just had a look into .mozilla and found a favicon dir that held icons for pages not in my bokmarks and that i had not visited in ages. cleaned it out and microb seems faster, but then i also killed adblock and greasemonkey...

interesting, isnt it possible to just clean out some stuff from .mozilla to keep the plugins etc..

indeed, the question is what...

those favicons i found made no sense what so ever beyond being copied over to the bookmarks list when the user adds a page there.

hell, even emelfm2 took its sweet time displaying the total content of that dir.

did you try delete them and did it make the browserstartuptime faster?

yep, i deleted them, but i didnt delete the dir itself.

thing is that i cant really say if it got faster or not as i also turned of adblock at the same time. still, microb seems faster now even when i have adblock on.
