Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, but i think my battery life on my N810 has gone down a bit since I moved over to the internal memory card. I haven't done any real tests yet though.

thanks GeraldKO for the advice, i havnt tried the usb edit yet, but i can confirm that the info in the link you posted worked with with my n810 and setting the default boot to external sd slot

hello,
when installing some app i got the message 'not enough memory'.
so i decied to switch to dual boot and install os on sd card.
my question 1: when partitioning sd card into 0,5MB for partition 1 and rest for partition 2, ist partition 1 only used for storing the os image and otherwhise never touch by the system? and all data (installed apps) is going to partition 2?
my question 2: can i configure my system to install apps to external (or internal) memory card, instead into device memory (if application is not asking about)?

2: where you boot the machine from the following installed apps will go to there (flash, internal, external...) !!! With some apps, data will go where ever the apps choose to put there but most will go under /home/user which is still where the machine was booted from. So only way to put installed apps to internal (external) memory card is to boot the OS from there.

Can anyone confirm which steps I would need to take if i wanted to start again and re-copy over the filesystem to external sd card (using N810) but without loosing my music/photos I have on the cards other partition? Is this possible?

By filesystem you mean the whole OS? Why not just back up the "music/photos I have on the cards other partition" to a PC and then copy back?

Don't do Step 10. At least as a non-Linux-user that's my guess. Maybe someone who knows what they're talking about will double-check my guess and provide the proper syntax.

Okay some one tell me where I messed up.
Everything works right up to ./nupgrade wipe to which I get
Unable to locate mbcache.ko - aborting
Any ideas? Little help please.

Uh never mind, I just saw where I needed to move mbcache.ko in another thread, copied the file and bam it is working. Thanks for the great script!
