For the N900, I'd fix the screen bandwidth issues and include a 3D accelerator so we could get nice, smooth effects in the OS.
I'd also upgrade the CPU and RAM, but all this could be accomplished with a new SoC. (The OMAP3530 looks really nice, especially with it's power saving automatic idle function.)

Not to cast a wet blanket over this, but I for one am not especially eager to see a model 900, though it is inevitable. It would be cool indeed, BUT... Given Nokia's track record with the 770/800, their apparent market strategy is to abandon older products to force consumers into expensive upgrades. All of us happy 800 owners might find themselves cast into the wilderness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of old software.

Read the thread, pay attention. This isn't exactly a giant logical leap.
That came out significantly more sarcastic than I meant it to be. What I meant was that it's a pretty straightforward prediction based on a lot of simple and fairly obvious stuff?there's not a lot of uncertain logical leaps involved. I've explained my own reasoning a couple times now here and elsewhere, which is why I recommend reading the thread in entirety.
On an unrelated note, anybody else think we hit the ceiling of usefulness here 10 or 15 pages ago?<_<

I haven't looked through all the pages. But if you said the prediction came from this thread itself, I won't be too optmistic yet.
