So I successfully installed the GPE summary suite from the cobb.uk.net website, and everything works fine, except that I put the appointments/todos on the home screen (to remind me), but I can't add stuff in it. I tried tapping on it, but nothing comes up, it just sorta moves it around. I also tried going to the actual GPE ToDo list, but the things I entered don't show up in the little box on the home screen either. Can anyone help me? I hope I made sense.

Also, the whole GPE suite is in military time, which is kind of annoying. Is there a way to get around this?

Thanks for any help!

Just to verify: On the Home > Applet Settings > GPE Summary, do you have "Show Todos" checked? You should see a "(no todos)" label at the bottom of the summary box. If you don't see it most likely you don't have the todos enabled.

I also recall you needed to enter something on the calendar first to create the actual Todo Database. I've used GPE Summary since day one of my tablet and have never had any problem with it. It is maybe the single most important app I use, strangely. It almost gives my the same performance I had PIM-wise with my Tungsten E2.

Not much to do about the military time setting, unfortunately.

angelb,

Thanks for answering my question. You're right, I don't see a no todos label at the bottom of the summary box under Applet Settings. How do you enable the todos? I tried to install the "gpe-todo" file but it said the file was already installed after I installed "gpe-summary."

Thanks

On the main desktop, open the menu under where it says "Home"
The got to "Applet settings" and you will find the control panel for "GPE Summary" there. Check the box to show To Do items.

Strangely enough though, it is not showing any of my todos just (no todos). Weird.

The summary shows only to-dos that are scheduled for today and the ones without a due date. Also, on the settings, at the bottom is an option to set the number of events/todos to show. Try increasing that number. I find 8 works for me.

Is there any way to make the GPE summary semi-transparent? Instead of the solid white background?

Also...I seem to be having the same problem with the Todos....it just says "no todos"....I have another Todo program installed - could that be it?

I'm still having the same problem with the todos. Should I just uninstall and reinstall GPE summary?

Ok...i uninstalled the whole GPE suite...and reinstalled GPEsummary first - and it remembered my calendar and my todo list as if i'd never uninstalled it!

Problem remains however - no "todo" on gpe summary.

Sucks.

The appearance of GPE Summary, including transparency, is based upon your theme.
