I have a bunch of very simple shell scripts which start
various palm apps using garnet vm (e.g. datebk5,
palm contact app, etc).
These work fine when started from xterm, but there
must be some way to customize the main menu so
as to insert links to these scripts (I hope).
Ideally, I'd like an icon with a label (e.g. Datebk5) to
appear in the "My Selections" menu ...
Anyone know how to do that? TIA,

That's odd. What Service Pack do you have installed? I thought WordPad was part of a default WinXP install. On my machine, the Shortcut resides in Start->All Programs->Accessories->WordPad. The actual executable can be found in "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe".
I never use Notepad. WordPad is so much better. I sometimes prefer WordPad over MS-Word for typing up a quick letter. But usually I edit text files with vim (or even cream) on WinXP.

None of these guys are newbies so give you a run around solution. Ask bun, the big time newbie
, all you have to do is change the extension from .sh to .txt, anything will then read it, including Notes.
BTW, there are many ways to skin a cat, I use shortcuts to get USB/host USB/OTG and works just fine, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...330#post199330
