None of these guys are newbies so give you a run around solution 
. Ask bun, the big time newbie 
, all you have to do is change the extension from .sh to .txt, anything will then read it, including Notes.
BTW, there are many ways to skin a cat, I use shortcuts to get USB/host USB/OTG and works just fine, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...330#post199330

Notepad++ is my favourite.
Its open source, easy to use, and it supports syntax highlighting. Not as many syntaxes as Vim, but still quite a few including shell scripting. I use it all the time for programming

That's odd. What Service Pack do you have installed? I thought WordPad was part of a default WinXP install. On my machine, the Shortcut resides in Start->All Programs->Accessories->WordPad. The actual executable can be found in "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe".
I never use Notepad. WordPad is so much better. I sometimes prefer WordPad over MS-Word for typing up a quick letter. But usually I edit text files with vim (or even cream) on WinXP.
I have a folder called Accessories under Windows NT but it is completely empty. Strange.I thought it was part of XP by default also. I do have MS office ultimate. Wonder if that zapped it when it was installed?
As I said, it may be on the CD - I haven't checked. The EditPad was quicker to find and install than find my XP disk.
My needs will be quite simple - EditPad may well do what I need.

Using Notes on a script is not advisable. Notes can ruin the structure and formatting of one.

Thanks. I was thinking about how to read it as Derek was saying its all rectangles. To make script, Notes is NOT a good one NOR any word processor that adds LF/Return/formatting chars, like MS Words etc. Anyhow, my chosen editor: emelfm2.

You can always use unix2dos or dos2unix afterwards, even on Windows. But like I said, there are better text editors available. On the NIT I prefer nano or vim, both accessible through shell.
