seems like feedelity actually works. one just have to make sure that one is online while adding a feed as it will try to download them, and python apps cant make the tablet auto-connect.

ones thaats done, just hit download and it will grap the webpages of the news items. after that, uncheck its online mode and start reading

Besides feedelity

There is also HTTrack

Of course there is always the old command line standby wget

I'm guessing that the reason some can open MicroB while offline, is because they use a local homepage (like the default one) and not an actual website.

Just a guess.

may be. i have never seen a reason to change it as its a nice way to access a google search page

No I changed my homepage to google's url and I still have no problem opening the browser in offline mode, it does ask me is I want to exit offiline mode, then I say no and then it opens a blank page, now I can point the browser to any local html file I want. Are there actually people who can't open the browser at all with no connection?
