+1 on this, there's no reason for it not to be in Extras. .deb distribution is just cruel.

I think it would have been inappropriate to release to chinook extras.

The diablo build could go in (diablo) extras since it at least does not zap your network connection... that would be -my- criteria at least (even though the bug seems to have been in the chinook os/driver and not program)

Its just plain cruel to have to mess with all these toolchains and dependencies manually. In fact i will throw down the gauntlet and say that Maemo should release a vm of a running maemo OS without scratchbox (but running with qemu diablo-arm sdk i guess). Give it a larger disk rootfs, bundle the sdk compilers and your ready for compilation of the (virtual) device. You can then enjoy all your fine maemo applications on the desktop, further increasing the mass appeal and acceptance of the maemo platform. Perhaps even a lighter maemo-player and heavier maemo-developer.

Beyond getting official sdk installed though i would need time to get a proper debian directory structure for packaging so it wont be overnight.

If some seasoned (or n00b) linux developer wants to do a quick debian directory and submit it, i should have the latest source directory snapsnot here :

Been using it for a while... the only issue I have had was some random reboots when resuming the creation of the first initial file..

It seems that a file is created on your SD the size of the download torrent and then it starts "filling" the file with the actual download... you must wait for the initial file to be created completly and after that you won't have anymore crashes while the real download is happenning....

Really, Transmission is one of the top 5 apps for the tablets!!

Hi,

The only problem I have with the diablo version is when the torrent has a list of files to download which is more than ~10. In that case the OK button gets lost.

Is there a way to bypass this?

Thx

Wow, Good job! I've downloaded and run this app with success

I can't help feeling that you've changed the rules of the game though....

Wardriving + Mobile Bittorrent Applications = ...well I'm not sure :P

@Saturn

What I did was changed my preferences to automatically go to a set location without asking. Makes it so that screen doesn't even come up and the download just starts. Not really an ideal fix, but a decent workaround that suits all my needs.

Yes!

How did I miss that. It's enough to untick the 'display settings dialogue'.

Thanks a lot.

Try editing /etc/osso-af-init/matchbox.defs
Set DIALOGMODE to free

That should let you drag the window up, I think

Probably have to restart matchbox.

Try rtorrent.

I suggest to run a BitTorrent client elsewhere, e.g with screen + SSH. Just as easy, runs 24/7, easier on the load. To copy data over set up SSH keys.
