No one's email is "safe" if it is sent via internet unless it is encrypted.

And your temper tantrum here *is* working? Doesn't look like it to me. At least those folks on the other end of the phone line get paid to deal with vitriol. The folks here don't.

true that. but its still hard to connect person to some random mail sniffed of the network at some router. with google one have mail hooked to id directly.

one thing i have found with some of these different bugs, is that they will occur when using some servers but not with others. i had the "expunged" problem and i was using a lavabit.com address. switched to using my gmail for everything and havent had one since. while i will agree that the email client/modest does need more attention than it seems to be given. acting like a prick doesnt solve anything.

thats probably correct. but that makes me wonder how long nokia had osso-mail boiling before release, as it never appeared to have the level of issues that modest seems to have even with such a "simple" protocol as pop.

well the one difference i can see and correct me if im wrong is that modest wasnt made directly by nokia developers. while modest works great with my gmail pop now i had nothing but problems in the past with it...everytime there was an update there was a new problem.
