Yes, I would say that the umpc is far from dead; in fact, I expect it to hit its peak in a few months and to be around for a long, long time.

As far as the Aspire One and bt support: There is at least one very enthusiastic modder posting pictures of how to add bt to the motherboard -- since it doesn't have "support" for bt, are you saying that she is forgetting to mention that bt doesn't work after the mod? I suspect it can be made to work fairly easily. What about installing a different version of Linux and just using a bt dongle, for example? And in your comparison you forgot to mention price -- is that not a consideration?

In fact, as someone already pointed out, those two devices have different targets...so we cannot really compare them...
