I've not used a USB HDD specifically, but have you gone into Canola Settings, Media library, Media folders?

Ijust bought one of these new gadget and loving it already!
Can't find a way to tell canoola to index my usb hdd. i am used 2 right clicking + choosingedopen with but maemo's file explorer can only allow to open 1 fila at a time.
