412b: Please make the Advanced Power applet check to see if an Advanced Power back-end is already running and then work with the running one.
I want to use the Mer desktop on top of the Maemo infrastructure, and I would like to see the Advanced Power applet sense that I have the Maemo AP back-end running and use that instead of the Mer back-end.

Hello!
I just got my n800, and been lurking around maemo.org for a few weeks... It's clear to me that Mer is the future for the n8x0 tablets, so I want to try it... but I have some questions:
- Can I just flash it over the internal memory and use it exclusively?
- If it's possible, or if something went wrong, I'll be able to reflash it with the official OS?
- Do you plan to use UnionFS/OnionFS to automatically extend the rootFS to the internal/external SD slots? (like the Asus EEE does)
I already downloaded the VM image, and played around on VirtualBox... great work indeed! Congratullations.

Merfone, anybody?
As you go on to other communities, remember to build them around politeness, respect, trust and humility. Be wary of poisonous people and deal with them before they end up killing your community.. Seen it happen to too many IRC channels, forums, open source projects.
