I am not sure if I am in the right spot to ask this. This is all new to me, but here it goes.

I have a Escient Fireball media server that I am trying to use a Nokia N810 or other PDA as a remote control. My laptop does this through wifi by just putting in the direct IP address. The interface (not sure of this term) is GUI. I spoke to the company and they stated that the Fireball uses JAVA apps. What I am looking for is guidance, if someone can tell me if the N810 or other will just shrink the GUI screen down to fit or if it is possible to make it fit. I need one that has a keyboard so I can enter a letter to search rather then paging down 50 times to ZZ Top. Thanks to all for your input.
