A very nooby question: Where does one get the games for the VGB/VGBA? I've always wanted to try one of these emulators but wouldnt have any idea where to find the games to make use of it.

Ok, I tried to use VGB and I'm sure I'm not doing something right. It shows up in my Extra's and I've DL'd a rom to demo but when I load VGB it asks me to open a file and I select the rom of the game that I DL'd but nothing happens....where am I going wrong?

Go easy on my....its my first time.

The file is probably wrong. Has to be a valid .gb/.gbc file for VGB, .gba file for VGBA.

With iNes, some games just don't play. I guess the same applies to VGB and VGBA. fms, there should probably be a "error reading file" message so we know something is wrong.

But soulfunkdup, try it on the PC first, then the tablet. And remember to unrar or unzip any roms first.

Trying it on the PC may be misleading, though. For some reason, I have some roms that work fine on the PC but actually crash VGBA (or at least cause it to close without notice). I haven't been able to figure that one out (and my files are .gba files). If you're experiencing an error with a specific rom, try a different one.

Well, if iNES tells you that it can't read your file, then your file is probably wrong. Refer to included documentation (iNES.html) for information on possible causes and how to fix them.

PS: There is a lot of crappy .nes files floating around the Net, as every pirate out there tried inserting his custom stuff all over the place. Some of them may actually load into other emulators, but iNES strictly enforces .nes format.

Oh perhaps if I tell you how I get the rom on the tablet that might provide some insight into whats going on.

I DL them on my laptop and unzip them there then BT them to the tablet.

Would that process be the cause?
