Hi clever folk of the web site I often describe as one of my favourite websites. I just have a little question for you all, I will be installing lots of different hand held devices into a library for people to draw on.... long story. I was wondering if any of you clever people know of any interesting twists that a internet tablet could be set up to do within a library / educational setting.

Can we assume that your library setting has a WiFi access point so that the internet tablets can access the internet?

Tablets would be good portable "card catalogs" that people could carry around while they're looking for books. Having access to synopsis, references, etc. would be very helpful when trying to find something specific. Of course, being connected to the internet gives one access to Wikipedia, Amazon, etc.

Actually, I can think of all sorts of uses for a tablet in a library -- partly because I always have my tablet at the library with me.

If you could explain exactly what it is your're looking for, it's be easier to share applicable ideas.

Tim
