hello everyone,
today I wanted to talk about a programm i've been using for a while on my laptop, called aedona. for more informations see here.
I don't know wether it could work on the nxxx, but I think that it would be very helpfull.
I'm not a developer nor somebody that know how things fonction on the tablets, but this is a proposition to those able, in order to make things happening.

This has been discussed before. If a real thief steals the tablet, he will instantly reflash it. However, if it is just a casual one, I think a better solution would be a homebrew one.

First of all, we should use the new GeoLoaction WiFi API's or something to get an accurate position. The tablet can update this when it has a WiFi connection. It stores it on internal memory, and when queried, it relays it to the remote user. This way you can even track where it went! Also, we should utilize the camera, and stuff.

I think "phonehome" and "phonehome-gui" might be something for you to look into.

I hope you're right! My fear is less losing my tablet per se (it can be replaced) and more the thief mining it for personal information.

I do not know exactly why, but the phonehome daemon tend to be stuck after several days of usage. I have no idea where to look at to debug this, so i m not that active on the project anymore.

But if someone would like to try to understand what may be wrong and fix it just let me know :-)
