The new versions could be in extras-devel next week, he says. Cool!
Yeah... That's cool.

The ↲ key (see your N810) does not work to choose any of the five options, only the Space key.
Judging from Andre's words i assume that there is no D pad. If there was D pad he would have tried that and mentioned it. Considering that he mentioned only the enter key.... i am pretty sure that there is no D pad.
In fact i am not sure if that is what i like. I would have liked the D pad on the face of the device but if there is totally no D-pad i am sad

Funny, I assumed it means the opposite (or arrow keys). I can't test it myself as it doesn't run on either Fremantle beta2 scratchbox or Mer, but Andre's comment + this screenshot:

seem to indicate that you're meant to navigate the options with the left / right keys and press space to accept the selected one.

Well i think that qwerty keyboard is configurable to simulate arrow keys.
If i had to select those icons i would defenitely use the D pad and after selecting the right choice i would by default press the center pad on the D pad. So now if there is no D pad and you can select those choices with the qwert keypad then your next best option to go into that selection is the enter key.

I am not sure if anything makes sense to you guys. But andre not mentioning the center button of the D pad in order to make a selection in that menu means there is no D pad and the only other way is to press the ENTER key.

Would you mind keeping this thread on topic and move the hardware discussion to any of the related threads already open? Thanks!

I agree that this is slightly off topic but in the same way it is also connected to the topic. Many of the developers would want to know or guess if there is a D pad because it will definitely come into the picture especially in the case of games and other applications. I know i could link this to another thread and then continue to discuss there. But the problem is that people reading that would not have the context of the thread. I understand if this continues and deviates the topic but this is just an observation based on the discussion and i believe it belongs here.

Thanks

I finally went for a walk with OSM2Go and... it works! Back home I could edit and upload the red paths you see in this little forest in Mäkkyla (Espoo), next to my place: http://osm.org/go/0xPMllfd

It's my first time editing successfully paths and nodes, connecting them, adding info, etc. On year and half ago I tried directly on OSM website and I couldn't figure out how to create the area of a town.

First impression: success! Sure, there are minor things and more enhancements than pure bugs. But it's definitely ready for extras-testing.

Thanks!

BTW, have you tried Tennix on a Fremantle device? Is it playable/ready for testing?

It works. Too well: 6-0 6-0 6-0 (guess who won) ready for extras-testing.

Have you thought of a system 4 2 players, each one with own device, communicating via wlan or BT? let's continue in another thread, please.
