Yes, you're right. I was thinking of Slashdot. Their moderation system is quite the beautiful thing to behold. Spend enough time logged in to the site and you get a handful of moderator points every so often, and you can distinguish between many different kinds of "good" posts, as well as having the ability to mod down bad posts (which is mildly discouraged through other elegant mechanisms)

Well I suppose I could do the ultimate modding down and delete the post

But we're straying off topic here, back on topic!

Slasdot is the forum king. But it only works if you allow anonymous posting. The moderators on this site won't even allow us to anonymously tag. Anonymous posting combined with finite moderation is the best thing to date. But it seems to need a critical mass, and I'm wondering if this site has it. Read slashdot's FAQ when you have a moment.

And now back to N900 sightings:

PDAdb has added the N900 to the "future" category (which, as far as I can tell, is "more than just a rumor, but not yet official")

Wow very detailed even the screen type and analog radio receiver with RDS...hmmm?

It also says "Directional-Pad: 4 -way"

Do arrow keys count as directional pads?

The viewable screen size seems very small...

The maths checks out. The diagonal of a 3" x 1.8" screen is indeed 3.5", and 3" x 1.8" is in the same ratio as 800x480.

That would make the N900 diagonal 85% of the N810 diagonal, which makes the screen area (in square inches or square mm) around 73% of the N810.

Because of the 800x480 aspect ratio, the screen area of the N900 (5.4 square inches) is 4.5% less than that of the iPhone (5.654 square inches), even though their diagonals are the same.

Regards,
Roger
